Reported efficiency of a 400 kW industrial SST prototype converting 13.2 kVAC to 800 VDC, from a US DOE project (2018–2021; Ch. Zhu, 2021). Kolar et al. (ETH Zurich) showed it in their INTELEC 2025 keynote, which puts the state of the art at 98–98.5% and the next target at 99%.
