ERCOT NOGRR 282 Large Computational Load voltage ride-through: below 0.8 pu the load may reduce consumption, and must return to at least 90% of its pre-disturbance consumption within 2 s of voltage at the POI recovering above 0.90 pu

≥90 % of load within 2 s (reduction allowed below 0.8 pu)observed

Value kindobserved — Reported measurements, counts, and specifications keep the precision and scope stated by their source; an exact specification is not treated as a range.
ScopeApplies to non-exempt LCLs (at least 75 MW aggregate peak demand, at least 50% power-electronic computational load); voltage is Operating Guides §2.15, frequency §2.6.4. PUCT approved 2026-07-09, effective 2026-08-01. Where voltage fell below 0.8 pu, a load that transfers to another source or stabilizes its controls must begin returning power within 0.25 s and reach 90% within 0.5 s, both timed from voltage recovering above 0.9 pu. Cooling and mechanical loads may trip below 0.35 pu and are then excluded from the recovery calculation. A stricter 0.5–0.8 pu profile applies once a load satisfies Planning Guide §9.5 after 2028-01-01, regardless of energization date.
