| Caveat | NVIDIA vendor claim of 5x lower power per 1.6 Tb/s port against pluggable interconnects (January 2026 blog, repeated in its 2026-05-31 production release). NVIDIA's March 2025 announcement said 3.5x, and its August 2025 itemized illustration (about 30 W pluggable vs about 9 W CPO per 1.6 Tb/s interface) works out to about 3.3x. Broadcom's separate figure of about 70% covers optical-interconnect power for Davisson. The boundaries differ, and none is a whole-switch or installed-system measurement. |
